How Storage Enables a Greener Grid

  • Firm renewables around the clock. Battery storage captures surplus solar and wind generation and dispatches it when the sun sets or the wind drops — making renewables truly dispatchable.
  • Cut fossil-fuel peakers. Peaking plants burn gas or diesel to meet demand spikes — the dirtiest, most expensive generation on the grid. BESS responds in milliseconds and eliminates the need for many of them.
