This Cookie Notice explains what cookies are, which cookies Vaayum Energy Private Limited uses on this website, and how you can control them.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, improve performance, and provide information to the website's owners. Cookies may be session cookies(deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored on your device until they expire or you delete them).
Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixel tags, and fingerprinting scripts — serve comparable purposes. This notice covers all such technologies used onvaayumenergy.com.
2. Cookies we use
We keep our use of cookies minimal. The table below summarises all cookies and similar technologies currently active on this Site.
Name / provider
Category
Purpose
Expiry
theme (Vaayum Energy)
Essential
Stores your chosen colour-scheme preference (light / dark) so it persists across pages.
Persistent (localStorage)
Google reCAPTCHA v3
Functional / security
Protects the contact form from spam and automated abuse by analysing interaction patterns. Sets cookies under the google.com domain.
Up to 6 months (Google-controlled)
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*)
Analytics (consent-gated)
Measures site traffic and usage so we can improve the Site. Loaded only after you accept, under Google Consent Mode v2 — no analytics cookies are set until you opt in.
Up to 2 years (Google-controlled)
vt-consent (Vaayum Energy)
Essential
Remembers your analytics consent choice (accepted / declined) so we don't ask again on every page.
Persistent (localStorage)
Analytics cookies are consent-gated. Google Analytics loads only after you accept via our cookie banner; until then, no analytics cookies are set, and no advertising cookies are used at all. You can change your choice at any time using the link (also in the site footer).
3. Essential cookies
The theme preference is stored in your browser's localStorage(not a traditional HTTP cookie, but a similar local-storage mechanism). It records whether you have selected light or dark mode so the correct theme loads on every page without a flash of unstyled content.
This preference is set only when you actively toggle the theme switcher. It contains no personal data and is never transmitted to our servers.
4. Google reCAPTCHA
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to distinguish human visitors from automated bots and protect the form from spam. reCAPTCHA works by collecting hardware and software information — such as device and application data — and sending it to Google for analysis. It may set cookies under the google.com and gstatic.com domains.
reCAPTCHA is a third-party service operated by Google. Your interaction with it is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
reCAPTCHA is loaded only on the /contact page, not site-wide. Because it is used for security purposes (preventing spam abuse), it falls under the category of cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to function as requested by the user — however, you may block it via your browser settings or a content blocker if you prefer not to use the contact form.
5. Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site — such as pages viewed, broad geography, and device type — so we can improve it. Analytics is consent-gated: on your first visit a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2 with all storage denied by default. Until you accept, the Google Analytics script is not loadedand no analytics cookies are placed. If you accept, Google Analytics loads and sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (typically a 2-year lifespan) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses.
You can change your decision at any time using the link (here or in the footer): declining keeps analytics off; accepting re-enables it. Google Analytics is operated by Google and is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. The links below provide guidance for the most common browsers:
To clear the theme preference stored in localStorage, open your browser's developer tools, navigate to "Application" → "Local Storage" → vaayumenergy.com, and delete the theme entry. The Site will revert to detecting your operating-system preference on the next visit.
Your analytics consent choice is stored under the vt-consent key in the same local storage. To review or change it, use the link; deleting the vt-consent entry will make the consent banner appear again on your next visit.
Please note that blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect the functionality of parts of this Site — for example, clearing the theme preference will cause the Site to re-detect your system colour scheme on every visit.
7. Changes to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time as our use of cookies changes or as legal requirements evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect when the most recent revision was made. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Where a change materially affects how we use cookies, we will take appropriate steps to inform you.
8. Contact us
